Full-Time | On-Site | Allentown, PA

HTSS is searching for an Accounting Specialist to join a well-established and growing construction firm! We’re seeking a degree-qualified accounting professional with construction industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. This is an on-site position supporting full-cycle accounting for multiple projects.

  • Applicants must currently reside within commuting distance of Allentown, PA.

  • Relocation is not offered.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and process AIA billings (G702/G703) and Time & Materials invoices.

  • Track job costs (materials, equipment, insurance, and tax) to ensure accurate project reporting.

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor setup, payments, and reconciliations.

  • Support month-end and year-end close, including WIP (Work in Progress) reporting, journal entries, and 1099 preparation.

  • Process sales/use tax filings and retainage payments.

  • Provide occasional support with general office administration as needed.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • Accounting experience within the construction industry strongly preferred, including exposure to Work in Progress (WIP) accounting.

  • Proficiency in Sage 300/Timberline or similar construction accounting software.

  • Solid understanding of AIA billing and job cost accounting.

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and time management.

  • A collaborative, professional, and dependable work ethic.
