CNC Maintenance Technician Supervisor

Salary: $85,000/year

Are you a hands-on maintenance professional with a strong background in CNC equipment and leadership experience? We’re hiring a CNC Maintenance Technician Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department at a busy and well-equipped machining facility. This is a direct hire position with a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the Facility:

  • Over 85 CNC machines in a large, well-organized shop

  • Primarily vertical mills, with some horizontal mills and lathes

  • Equipment includes Haas, Okuma, Toyoda, Doosan, and Mori Seiki machines

  • Producing machined castings for major OEMs like Cummins, Mack, and Volvo

 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise and schedule daily work for maintenance technicians

  • Oversee and maintain a preventive maintenance (PM/TPM) program for all CNC machines

  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery, including spindles, ball screws, electrical systems, and more

  • Interpret and follow electro-mechanical diagrams

  • Communicate downtime, repair needs, and production impacts effectively

  • Work independently and lead by example in a hands-on environment

  • Maintain machine spare parts inventory and ensure cleanliness and safety in work areas

  • Assist with building and facility maintenance as needed

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience maintaining CNC equipment in a manufacturing setting is required

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Familiarity with Haas machines and controls is preferred

  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls and working on vertical and horizontal CNC machines

  • Electrical knowledge including 110/220/480V (single & three phase)

  • Skilled in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical repairs

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures

  • Basic computer skills and ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings

  • Experience with automation (PLCs, Fanuc industrial robots) is a plus

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver around/under equipment as needed

  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions
