Job Description
HTSS is seeking a General Maintenance Technician/Handyman-Crew Leader for a company in Allentown, PA.
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, up to $60, 000/yearly
Job Summary:
Seeking an ambitious professional with a passion for getting their hands dirty in the trades and using their skills to improve the quality of people s homes, apartment buildings, and any other facility. This role will entail working with a team of maintenance technicians to solve day-to-day problems in facilities throughout the Lehigh Valley. It is important to have a strong work ethic, great communication skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day completion of called in work orders, preventive maintenance work orders, and projects as assigned.
- On-site diagnosis and repair of routine maintenance issues that may arise in a resident apartment unit or building.
- Oversee other maintenance technicians to solve more complex problems.
- Picking up and dropping off of materials/supplies for maintenance projects.
- Communicating with the team through text message, phone call.
- Updates on job completion through an app.
- Drywall repair, painting, light carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and other routine maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid Driver s License.
- Tools are provided.
- Strong communication/teamwork skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Experience working with a contractor, maintenance company, or property management company in the past.
- Experience with drywall repair, painting, light carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical, cleaning, repairing doors, lights, locks, windows, floors, drains, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Willingness to learn and work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to solve problems involving residents, equipment/ maintenance issues, emergency situations, etc.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
