Plastics Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Description


Our client inspires creativity and imagination through its innovative art tools, crafting activities, and creative toys. They’re looking to add a skilled 3rd Shift Plastics Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known company based in the Lehigh Valley.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on plastic injection molding machines and support equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. This includes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic work essential to the efficient operation all injection molding machinery.

  • Assist with the installation, debugging, and commissioning of new equipment.

  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.

  • Proven experience with plastic injection molding machinery maintenance.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical/electrical aptitude.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Familiarity with safety procedures in an industrial setting.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Availability to work a night shift schedule and overtime as needed. This does include some Saturdays.
